Institute Admission Rules

The admission policies are aligned with the mission, objectives, and strategic goals. Students are admitted to the Egyptian Institute for Alexandria Academy of Management and Accounting in accordance with the admission rules for higher institutes as set by the Supreme Council of Universities. The institute's admission rules are stipulated in Article (5) of the institute's internal bylaws as follows:

First: General Admission Requirements for the Institute

Article (5) of the institute's bylaws outlines the general admission requirements:

  • New students are admitted to the institute through the Universities and Institutes Admission Coordination Office, unless a decision is issued by the Minister of Higher Education otherwise. International students from all countries are admitted after the approval of the General Administration of International Students. No new student may be registered after the announcement of admission results except through the aforementioned office.

Admission Requirements for the Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing, and Finance Program

  • The student must hold a General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent from Arab or foreign certificates.
  • Three-year Commercial Secondary School certificate.
  • Technical Secondary School for Management and Services certificate.
  • Diploma from Technical Commercial Institutes, five-year Commercial Secondary School, or Institutes of Management and Secretarial Studies. Students are enrolled in the second level and may be required to take additional courses if necessary.

Requirements for Admission to the English Section

  • The student must have obtained a General Secondary Education Certificate (Science or Literary Track) with a grade of not less than 75% in English.
  • The student must pass the English test held by the institute.

Admission Requirements for the Business Information Systems Program

  • The student must hold a General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent from Arab or foreign certificates.
  • Three-year and five-year Commercial Secondary School certificates.
  • Diploma from Technical Commercial Institutes (Computer Science Division).
  • Diploma from three-year and five-year Industrial Secondary Schools.
  • Diploma from Technical Industrial Institutes.
  • The student must pass the aptitude test after paying the test fee as determined annually by the institute's board.
  • A medical examination must confirm that the student is free from contagious diseases and is fit to pursue studies according to the rules set by the Supreme Council for the Affairs of Private Institutes.
  • The student must be of good conduct and reputation.
  • The student must be dedicated to full-time study at the institute in accordance with the internal regulations.
  • A student may not be enrolled in another institute or university college at the same time.

Admission of Students Who Have Exhausted Failure Attempts

  • The institute may admit students who have exhausted the number of allowed failures in university colleges and non-equivalent higher institutes in accordance with the following rules:
  • The student must have been enrolled in the college or higher institute in the levels preceding the level to which he is applying at the institute.
  • The student must have obtained, in the General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent, a total score qualifying him to join the institute in the year of obtaining the certificate.
  • These students are admitted to the first level as new students, and their papers are submitted to the institute. Their admission is subject to the approval of the Institute's Board and the competent authority at the Ministry of Higher Education.

Enrollment and Re-Enrollment of Students

  • A student may be enrolled or re-enrolled in the following cases:
  • A new student who did not complete his enrollment procedures for an acceptable excuse.
  • A student who withdrew his papers while enrolled in the institute and presented an excuse.
  • A student who did not apply to the Coordination Office in the year he obtained the General Secondary Education Certificate for an acceptable excuse, provided that no more than two years have passed (one-time opportunity).

Admission of Students Dismissed from Military Colleges or Police College

  • Students dismissed from military colleges or the Police College for non-disciplinary reasons, or those who have exhausted the number of allowed failures in non-equivalent colleges, may be admitted, provided the student has obtained the total required score and qualifying subjects in the year he obtained the General Secondary Education Certificate.
