Studying System

Study Duration:

  • The duration of study at the institute is four academic years in order to obtain a bachelor’s degree.

Study language:

  • Arabic and English are the two languages of instruction at the institute, and there are two study divisions, one in Arabic and one in English for the Accounting and Auditing Division, and taking the exam is in the language in which the student studies the course.

Academic year and semesters:

  • The study at the Institute is distributed in each academic year to two semesters, each lasting between (16-18) academic weeks, including exams.

School Schedule:

  • The student adheres to his announced academic schedule for the semester throughout the week from Saturday to Thursday, at the rate of a lecture and an exercise or lab weekly for each practical subject or a lecture only for theoretical subjects.

Attendance and absence rules:

  • The student’s attendance in any course should not be less than 75% of the number of lectures during the semester. In the event that the student exceeds 25% of the total number of lectures, i.e. (3) lectures for the subject, a warning is sent to the student to be denied entry to the subject’s exam, whether mid or final, unless this absence is with an excuse (the student submits evidence of the excuse) and is accepted by the Institute’s administration.

Student assessment system in the course:

  • The student is evaluated continuously during the semester in addition to the end-of-semester exam. The semester work is part of the final grade and is represented in periodic exams, practical exercises and research.
  • The student’s degree is evaluated in applied courses such as the project without a written test contract at the end of the semester, and an oral test is held that includes the evaluation of the report submitted by the student and the scientific work implemented through a discussion committee consisting of two members of the faculty in the institute in addition to the project supervisor.
